Using a Windows VPN and want to see if your IP address has changed? Here’s how to find it.

With a Wi-Fi connection on Windows 11:

  1. Open your Taskbar.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Select Network & internet.
  4. Click on your Wi-Fi properties.
  5. Your IP address will be under IPv4 Address.

With a Wi-Fi connection on Windows 10:

  1. Open your Taskbar.
  2. Click Wi-Fi Network.
  3. Select your Wi-Fi Network.
  4. Click Properties.
  5. Your IP address will be under IPv4 Address.

With an Ethernet connection on Windows 10:

  1. Open your Taskbar.
  2. Choose the Ethernet Network icon.
  3. Select your Ethernet Network Connection under Ethernet.
  4. Under Properties, your IP address will be next to where it says IPv4 Address.1

On Windows 8 and 8.1 with a Wi-Fi connection:

  1. Choose the Network Connection icon.
  2. Click Open Network And Sharing System.
  3. Double-click on Wireless Network Connection.
  4. Click Details and your IP address will be visible.

  4. Click Wireless Network Connection.

On Windows Vista with a Wi-Fi connection:

  1. Open the Start Menu.
  2. Right-click on Network.

  4. Under Wireless Network Connection, choose View Status.
  5. Click Details.
  6. Your IP address will show up in a new window.

On Windows 7 with a Wi-Fi connection:

  1. Click on the network Connection icon.
  2. Choose Open Network And Sharing Center.
  3. Double-click on Wireless Network Connection.
  4. Choose Details.
